3. Description of HSA400 Series Pulse Width Modulation Amplifiers

HSA400 is a kind of pulse width modulation amplifier, which can provide 5A continuous current. It is a kind of full-bridge amplifier that can work under the condition of wide supply voltage range. Both the drive and control circuit for the bridge arm switch are integrated inside it, PWM current is also integrated inside it, when the user uses it as the drive circuit of motor, he only needs to provide an analog signal; when he uses it as an audio amplifier, he just needs to provide audio signal.
This product is made by the thick-film hybrid integration process and is totally sealed in a metal package to TO-3 standard. Design and manufacturing of products shall meet the requirements of GJB2438A-2002 “General specification of hybrid integrated circuit” and detailed specifications for products.

Application notes

  • I is recommended to add a 100µF/100V Tantalum capacitance and a 0.1µF/100V ceramic capacitance at Vs power supply terminal.
  • It is recommended to add a 22µF/50V Tantalum capacitance and a 0.1µF/50V ceramic capacitance at Vcc terminal.
  • It is recommended to add a 0.1µF/50V ceramic capacitance at Input terminal.
  • Ensure good heat sinking condition during the service of the product, it is recommended to add heat sinking plate.
