ETCR9400 LiveZinc Oxide Arrester Clamp Tester is used to test the full current of the zinc oxide arrester of the ciruit lines below 35KV to diagnose whether the performance of the arrester is degraded. There is no need to power off and disassemble the arrester during the testing, the operation is safe and fast.According to Article 9.1 of the electric power industry standard "DL/474.5-2018 Site Insulation Test Implementation Guidelines-Lightning Arrester Test", in order to detect whether the arrester inside is damp and the metal oxide resistor is deterioration during working, can be used the method which regularly testing the continuous current of the power frequency during running.Under normal situation, the continuous current through the arrester is very small. Once the arrestor interior is damp, the current can increase up to several milliamperes or even tens of milliamperes. Because the operating voltage often fluctuates, it is not easy to determine an absolute standard to judge whether it is severely damp, but compare with the previous records and the three-phase. If there is a significant difference in the leakage current, then it must be dealt with.The operation worker can decide whether to maintain the arrester according to the leakage situation tested by this thester, avoiding blind disassembly and inspection.

ETCR9400 Live Zinc Oxide Arrester Clamp Tester is composed of host, detector, and an insulating rod. The host and the detector use wireless communication, the communication distance is 30 meters, the host can remotely open and close the clamp head of the detector to complete the testing, and the host can display the current test value and the status of the clamp head in real time. The detector uses a micro motor to drive the opening and closing of the clamp head. The clamp head is made of high-performance permalloy, which has super anti-interference ability and is hardly affected by external magnetic fields. The resolution is up to 1uA. The detector can be connected to an insulating rod for testing of zinc oxide surge arresters on high-voltage circuit lines. The tester can also be used as an ultra-high-precision clamp-on leakage current meter.
