As electric vehicle (EV) adoption accelerates, the need for DC fast charging is increasing. DC fast charging is essential for public EV charging infrastructure and will help enable long-distance traveling and give households with no home EV charging somewhere to charge their cars quickly. DCFC (Direct Current Fast Charging) will also be critical as we transition larger vehicles to electric, requiring larger batteries and higher charging rates to make them usable in real-world environments.

DC fast charging is known as DCFC, and is often referred to as rapid or ultra-fast charging. Fast chargers typically charge below 100kW, while ultra-fast chargers operate above 100kW, 160kW and 320kW chargers are widely available, and some fast chargers can scale up to higher levels. Typically, a 60kW fast charger can charge an EV from 20%-80% in half an hour. An ultra-fast electric vehicle charging station will further reduce this time.

The charging voltage and current are automatically configured based on vehicle requirements. The on-board BMS sends the required voltage and current information to the charger. The charger outputs power according to the command sent by the on-board BMU.
② Safe and reliable: a variety of charging end conditions
When the vehicle is charged, the BMS sends a stop charging command to inform the charger to stop power output; Or when the set conditions of the charger are reached, the charger automatically closes the power output module and sends the stop charging command to the BMS.
