RBWDM's QSFP28 100G ZR4 RQ-100G-ZR4 is designed for 80 km optical communication applications. The module contains a 4-wire optical transmitter, a 4-wire optical receiver and a module management block that includes a 2-wire serial interface. The optical signal is multiplexed onto a single-mode fiber via an industry standard LC connector. The block diagram is shown in Figure 1.
